The Feria de abril is just around the corner and we want you to be prepared to experience this party in the right way, that is why we tell you the main points that you should know before arriving at the event:

Important days:

Unlike other festivals, this event does not have a specific day but is celebrated on the second Sunday after Semana Santa, so this year it will begin at 0:00 on Sunday, April 14 and ends on Saturday, April 20. April at 00:00 hours.

However, the celebration begins on April 13 with "La cena del Pescaíto" prior to the lighting of the lights that will take place as soon as the clock strikes 00:00 on April 14.

The lighting is done at the main door of the fair, located in the Los Remedios neighborhood, near Triana.

The celebration ends the night of Saturday the 20th to Sunday the 21st with fireworks next to the Guadalquivir.

Casetas:

This year there is the participation of more than 1,000 tents, of which some are public and others private. In the latter, which are the majority, they have restricted access and only their partners, family and friends can access. Inside the casetas you can find a lot of partying, dancing and delicious food.

At the entrance to the event, an information office is installed that tells visitors which public casetas are. These have a schedule from 12 in the morning to three in the morning and are installed by the city districts, political parties and unions.

How to dress?:

The typical thing is to wear a flamenco dress that includes a shawl and a flower in the hair and the men wear a jacket and tie at night and more or less formal during the day. However, this is not a 100% essential requirement. The important thing is to go with elegant clothes and, if possible, cool textiles to avoid the heat.

Food is the Star:

Are you a lover of good food? Then you are in the right place! The Feria de Sevilla offers a wide variety of culinary delights, from traditional tapas to local dishes such as fried fish and gazpacho.

Don't forget to try the sherry wine and the rebujito, which is made with one third of Fino or Manzanilla and two thirds of soda or lemon, mint and lots of ice.

Activities to do:

Inside the event we will find La Calle del Infierno, an amusement park with almost 60 children's games and more than 60 mechanical games for adults. In addition, chocolate shops, nougat shops, show stalls, ice cream, etc.

You can also take a ride through the streets of the fair in horse carriages; prices vary, but the duration usually ranges between approximately 45 and 60 minutes.

Another plan to do during your visit to Seville is a boat trip along the Guadalquivir, where you can see the Isla de la Cartuja, the Torre del Oro or the mythical Tirana Bridge.

So there you have it, the main points you need to know about the Feria de Sevilla 2024! Prepare your best outfit, your appetite and your desire to have fun, and get ready to live a week that you will remember forever! See you at the Feria, Olé!
