1. The historical viewpoint from Sagrada Familia 

The first in line we would like to introduce you is the viewpoint from the iconic monument that literally everyone in the world knows: the Sagrada Familia. The recently-titled basil, designed in the late 800’s by the great Antoni Gaudí and still in construction, represents a symbol of Spanish and international Modernism.

When in Barcelona, you can’t miss a visit to this incredible and huge church: for the moment you can walk through some alleys and in its towers - which offer a lovely view on the city; but it’s expected that by 2026, when it will be finished, the main tower will measure 170 meters and will offer the most spectacular and highest viewpoint of Barcelona.

2. The view from the enchanting Parc Güell

Gaudí really gave Barcelona a magical and unique touch, thanks to his creativity and brilliant mind. With Park Güell, the Catalan architect created an architectural masterpiece amongst the wilderness of nature, mixing and matching each element perfectly.

When strolling through the huge park make sure you do not miss another of the best views of Barcelona: Turó de les tres creus, located in the highest part of Park Güell and that will give you an entire panoramic view of this beautiful city. 

3. A sunset at the Bunkers of Carmel, one of the best views of Barcelona

Located in the area of Turó de la Rovira, these military bunkers date back to the Spanish Civil War and nowadays are widely considered one of the best spots to enjoy the sunset in Barcelona. 

The best time to visit the bunkers is during, just before sunset - and many people know that, so, our advice is to arrive at least 30 minutes before sunset to get the best place and enjoy it fully!

This area comes to life with tourists and locals gathering together, playing music, drinking and cheering at the end of another day.

If you prefer to avoid crowds, you can also enjoy this viewpoint at sunrise, since the 360 view makes the experience worthy in both cases!

4. Tibidabo magnificent viewpoint

The mount of Tibidabo is located right outside the urban area of Barcelona and it’s the highest point in Sierra de Collserola. 

What makes the Tibidabo so special that it’s also called the “Magic Mountain”? Here stands the oldest amusement park in Spain and here you can enjoy the whole skyline of Barcelona.

The access is free and there also is another beautiful building you can miss once you are here: the magnificent Templo del Sagrado Corazón.

5. The terrace at Las Arenas de Barcelona

One more great view of Barcelona that most tourists don’t know is the one from Las Arenas de Barcelona. This is a shopping centre located in Plaça d'España. This complex structure was first used as a bullfighting stadium, but then was redesigned and converted into a shopping centre in March 2011 by Richard Rogers. Arenas de Barcelona today offers a shopping experience, but it also is a sports and music venue with a 360 spectacular panoramic view of the city.

6. View from the National Museum of Art of Catalonia (MNAC)

The “Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya” (in its Catalan name) was builts back in the early ‘900 for the Barcelona International Exhibition (in 1929). It’s located in front of the famous  Montjuïc Magic fountain, offering enchanting and colorful water shows.

The MNAC also boasts the biggest Romanesque art collection in the world. If you buy an entrance to the museum, you have free access to the rooftop, where you can find two lovely terraces which are considered one of the best views of Barcelona.

7. The terrace of La Pedrera house

La Pedrera, also known as “Casa Milà” is another of Gaudí's masterpieces enriching the city and it offers one of the best viewpoints over Barcelona. This modernist building has a great terrace from where one can admire the beautiful Eixample district. This was strategically designed to look toward both Paseo de Gracia and other interesting points of the city. 

8. Montjuic Castle viewpoint

Built to be a legendary fortress, with its 360º views of the city below, the  Montjuïc Castle offers stunning views of Barcelona, thanks to a vantage point 173 metres above the port. 

Located in Montjuïc mountain, right above the port, this castle was the main point of the Olympic Games in 1992. You can reach it by cable car and enjoy a spectacular view over the sea and the city.

9. The view from the high Collserola Tower 

This telecommunications tower located in the Collserola mountain, outside the urban area, was designed by Norman Foster for the Olympic Games in 1992 and today still dominates the entire panorama of the city.

Not only an important symbol of the city architecture, but it also is one of the best viewpoints of Barcelona, due to a 360º view and a 280 meters height.
