The best beaches in the Valencian Community

The first thing you should know is that you have just over 500 kilometers of coastline that are distributed between the provinces of Alicante, Castellón and Valencia. Therefore, we will give you a choice between urban beaches, small coves with turquoise water, extensive sandy areas or naturist corners.

Cala la Granadella, Jávea (Alicante)

Our first recommendation is in the southern area of Jávea (Xàbia). This beach is ideal for lovers of scuba diving thanks to the gravel and white rocks that characterize it.

This wild-looking cove has catering services and showers, making it one of the busiest beaches throughout the summer.

Tamarit Beach, Santa Pola (Alicante)

We move to the Natural Park of the Salinas de Santa Pola to enjoy this small and semi-urban beach.

Due to its windy conditions, it is one of the best beaches in Valencia for lovers of kitesurfing or sailing.

Tabarca Island (Alicante)

This small archipelago declared a Mediterranean Marine Reserve is the only one that is inhabited in the Valencian Community. It is located in front of the city of Alicante and near the cape of Santa Pola.

In the past, its shores were a refuge for Berber pirates and, in the 18th century, King Carlos III ordered the island to be fortified and a town built, in which to house several families of Genoese fishermen who were being held prisoner in the Tunisian city of Tabarka. The walls surrounding the town have been officially declared a Historical and Artistic Site and an Asset of Cultural Interest.

North Beach of Peñíscola (Castellón)

We moved to Castellón to recommend the North Beach of Peñíscola. One of the most iconic beaches in the Valencian Community due to its characteristic castle and its splendid views from the towel. In addition, it is a step away from the old town of Peñíscola.

It is a natural environment of about five kilometers fully equipped with walkways and accesses adapted to all types of audiences.

Racó de Mar Beach, Canet de Berenguer (Valencia)

The lighthouse of the municipality of Canet de Berenguer takes us to a good book in which a wonderful story occurs at the foot of a beautiful lighthouse. Its beach is just over a kilometer long and is fully equipped with walkways and accesses adapted to all types of audiences. Its fine sand is piled up in the form of dunes, making it one of the most beautiful beaches in the province of Valencia.

Terranova Beach, Oliva (Valencia)

This jewel of the Mediterranean is located north of the municipality of Oliva, in the province of Valencia. It is a small cove of fine sand and crystal clear water of 200 meters in length located between two ravines. A real visual pleasure for those who like special beaches. In addition, this wonderful cove is surrounded by gigantic sand dunes.
